I mean, for all those who blog,..
If you can spare the time you write,
Why can't you spare the time for the oc blog?

Here's something we can do:
Take notes during OC sermons, serious notes.
And then blog your constructive feedback!
This way, while copying notes, the content of the sermon will take root in your hearts.
You'll make significant growth in your spiritual life before long!
At the same time, the speakers can have an idea..
As to what sermon topics will interest the OC,
And then we'd have better sermons,
And then more people'd be interested in listening and assimilating
And then more people'd give feedback
And we'd have a positive cycle :D

Altar Calls & Changed Lives

I would have loved to have sometime to speak with all those who answered the altar call yesterday. In fact, i am like DESPERATE to gather all the 20plus or so youths who got up, walked forward and stood in front.

WHY?

Because answering altar calls is NOT equal to changed lives. After so many years in youth ministry, i have seen countless youths and adults(myself being one of them) answered countless altar calls and re-dedications. And for a couple of weeks, things are exciting... pray abit more... read abit more of the bible... but give it couple more weeks or so... YES... you know what happens. We have all been there and done that.

One day has passed since sunday... ask yourself this question to see if your live has begun to changed (if you read this 1 week later, you can test yourself too):

What did you do differently since answered the altar call? What did you do differently that will enable you to discover and live this life of destiny and purpose? What did you do to come back to God?

Ask yourself another question: Do you know how to begin living for God and discovering the destiny God intends for you?

Hence, my desire to want to speak to all of you and tell you some important things. Most important of all - how to begin changing your lives and living a life of destiny and purpose that glorifies God.

There are many things i want to say. But these few things are fundamental.
1. Authentic Fellowship - you need to gather around friends who has that same desire to grow deep in God. Friends with the same goal of living a life of God-driven purposeful life. Join a small group. Invite your friends to read the bible and do B.S with you. Be a leader, initiate the change.
2. Actualize Scripture - Do not just read the bible. LIVE the bible. Read matthew 7:24, foundations are build when one "reads and puts into practice" scripture.
3. Avail yourself - Serve. Start using the God-given gifts & talents.

Three action questions.
1. Who in my circle of friends have the same goal as me?
2. What areas in my life does God want to begin to change in me?
3. How can I begin to be part of OC, avail myself and give?

praying for all you guys and gals who came up yesterday. my phone and email and ears are always available if you ever want to talk more about anything...

I strongly feel that God has a special purpose and message he wants to say to each of you. He was telling the comm, to go out with our craziest ideas and he will take care of the rest for us. And really, God has been wonderful eliminating all our hicups and tying in all our crazy ideas and surprises. i think god just plants even crazier ideas in our heads each time we meet.

We planned the theme of the entire camp along the book of exodus. When the group moved, all the people got up and moved along too. so i think all you have to do is to take the first leap in faith, and sign up for camp! you can sign up here.

The Cry of God in celebration

A young girl grows up on a cherry orchard street just above Traverse City, Michigan. Her parents, a bit old fashion, tend to overact to her nose ring, the music she listens to, and the length of her skirts. They ground her a few times, and she seethes inside. "I hate you" she screams at her father when he knocks on the door of her room after an argument, and that night she acts on a plan she has menatlly rehearsed scores of times. She runs away.

She visited Detroit only once before, on a bus trip with her church youth group to watch the Tigers play. BecauseNewspapers in Traverse City report in luird detail the gangs. drugs and the violence in downtown Detroit, she concluded that is probably the last place her parents would look for her. California, maybe or Florida, but not Detroit.

Her second day there she meets a man who drives the biggest car she's ever seen. He offers her a ride, buys her lunch, arranges a place for her to stay. He gives her some pills that make her feel better then she's ever felt before. She was right all along, she decides her parents were keeping her from all the fun.

The good life continues for a month, two months, a year. The man with the big car-she calls him"Boss"-teaches her a few things that men like. Since she is underage, men pay a premium for her. She lives in a penhouse, and orders room service whenever she wants. Occasionally she thinks about her folks back home, but their lives seem so boring and provincial that she can hardly believe that she grew up there.

She has a brief scare when she sees her picture on the back of a milk container with the Headlines "Have you seen this child?" But by now she had blonde hair and make-up and with all the body piercing jewlery she wears no one would mistake her for a child. Besides most of her friends were runaways and no one rats on anyone.

After a year the first sallow of illness appears, and it amazes her how the Boss turns mean. "Theses days we can not mess around", He growled. And before she knew it she was out on the streets without a penny to her name. She still turns a couple of tricks a night, but they don't pay much and it goes to support her habit. When winter blows in she finds herself out on the grate in front of a Department Store sleeping. Sleeping is the wrong word-teenagers girls in Detroit can never relax their guard. Dark bands circle her eyes, her cough worsens.

One night as she lies awake listening for footprints,all of a sudden everything about her life seems different. She no longer feels like a woman of the world, she feels like a little girl, lost in a cold and freezing city. Her pockets are empty and she's hungry. She needs a fix.She pulls her legs tightly underneath herself, as she shivers under the newspapers she piled atop her coat. Something jolts a synapse of memory and a single image fills her mind: of May in Traverse City, when a million cherry trees blooming at once, with her Goldern Retriever dashing through the rows and rows of blossom trees in a chase of a tennis ball.

"God Why did I leave?" she said to herself and pain stabbed at her heart. My dog back home eats better then I do now. She is now sobbing and knows more then anything else she wanted to go home. Three straight phone calls, three straight conections to an answering machine. She hangs up without leaving a message the first two times but the third time she leaves a message "Dad, Mom it's me, I was wondering maybe about coming home?" I'm catching a bus up your way and It will get there about midnight tomorrow. If you are not there, well, I guess I'll stay on the bus until it hits Canada.

It takes about 7 hours for a bus to make all the stops between Detroit and Traverse City, and during that time she realized the flaws in her plan. What if her parents are out of town and missed the message? Shouldn't she have waited another day or so until she could talk to them? And even if they were home, they probably wrote her off as dead a long time ago. She should have given them some time to overcome the shock.

Her thoughts bounce back and forth between worries and the speech she is preparing for her father. "Dad, can you forgive me?" She says the words over and over, her throat tightening even as she reherses them. She hasn't apologized to anyone in years.

The bus has been driving with lights on since Bay City. Tiny snowflakes hit the pavement rubbed worn by thousands of tires, and the asphalt streams. She's forgotten how dark it gets at night out here. A deer darts across the road and bus swerves. Every so often, a billboard. A sign posting the milleage to Travers City. Oh, God....

When the bus finally rolls into the station, the air brakes hissing in protest, the driver announces in a crackly voice over the microphone, Fifteen minutes folks. That's all we have here. Fifteen minutes to decide her life. She checks herself in a compact mirror, smoothes her hair, and licks the lipstick off her teeth. She looks a the tobacco stains on her fingertips and wonders if her parents will notice. if they are there...

She walks into the terminal not knowing what to expect. Not one of the thousand scenes that had played in her mind prepared her for what she saw. There in the cononcrete-walls-and-plastic-chairs-bus-terminal in Traverse City Michaigan, stands a group of forty brothers and sisters and aunts and Uncles and cousins and a grandmother and great Grandfather to boot. They're all wearing goofy party hats and blowing noise makers, and taped across the entire wall of the terminal is a computer-generated banner that read "Welcome Home!"

Out of the crowd of well wishers breaks her Dad. She stares out through the tears quivering in her eyes like hot mercury and begins the memorized words "Dad I'm sorry, I knew....."
He interupted her, "Hush, child." We got no time for that. You will be late for the party. A banquet's waiting for you at home."

I was talking to Felly, and she called me a Pok. I felt slightly insulted, then exceedingly confused. "What the heck is a Pok?" i asked. Well, she didnt know either.. So i began to contemplate how this mild substitute for a insult my have come from. The first thing that came to my mind was the savoury fishball noodle dish: mee pok... I was just called a fishball by felly. what the pok? But anyways, nobody should be swearing in church! So i propose that we substitute pok for every swear word we use in good company.. ever.
For example: what the POK.. is felly talking about? oh pok.. i just wrote an absolutely nonsensical post.

well yeah, anyway, i was reading Jeremiah chap 29.
i came across this really powerful verse.

it's actually right after verse 11, it's verse 13-14.

"You will seek me and fine me when you seek me with all your heart. I ill be found by you," declares the Lord, "and will bring you back from captivity."

we actually went through this in our sec1 bible study (BS) & i found these verses (alone with verse 11 & 12) really motivational.

check them out.

I just wanted to share it 'cos they are the kinds of things you need to know & hear from God when you are feeling rejected or detached from Him.

Was touched by God in the most unlikely circumstance. One more person will join the AV team, which is nicole thio. So i was talking with her, asking her why she joined?

Look to Him

It was a sobering message that Pong brought to us today. Was especially struck by his sharing of the OC as on the brink of becoming a dead sea, being so blessed and yet not letting the Lord pour us out- and this demonstrated in plain and practical ways eg. how many of us have encouraged Uncle Joe or thanked Melissa, what time do we arrive at Church and how quickly do we leave.. I know I had an uncomfortable feeling in my heart. As was listening, was reminded of this verse from 2 Chronicles 7:14:
'if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land'

Not that I think that any of us are knowingly wicked, but I do think the OC is in need of healing. So what does God's word hold for us?
1. Humble ourselves: Interestingly, this was the message God had for the OC yesterday when I was praying. Let's examine our hearts- are we looking to God as Lord and King, or subconsciously (or consciously!) valuing other things/people/qualities/ourselves and our opinions as more important?

2. Pray and seek God's face: Is our walk with God a real, personal, continuous relationship? Are we committing to being in places where we know He'll be- no matter what we feel like? How earnestly do we desire His presence?

4. Turn from wicked ways: How sincerely are we seeking to be convicted by Him, to go with and be used by Him?

These are not things that come about merely by willing them to be out of nothing. No..my prayer for us is that God will continually reveal a vision of Him, high and lifted up, that fixing our eyes on Him, just as Isaiah in Isaiah 6:1-8, we might then respond in obedience with humbled and adoring hearts.

Don't lose sight of Him this week!

I'd just like to share a little somethin' somethin' i got in my mail:

One day, a man, his heart heavy with grief, was walking in the woods. As he thought about his life this day, he knew many things were not right. He thought about those who had lied about him back when he had a job. His thoughts turned to those who had stolen his things and cheated him. He remembered family that had passed on; His mind turned to the illness he had that no one could cure.

His very soul was filled with anger, resentment and frustration. Standing there that day, searching for answers he could not find, knowing all else had failed him, he knelt at the base of an old oak tree to seek the one he knew would always be there. And with tears in his eyes, he prayed:

"Lord- You have done wonderful things for me in this life. You have told me to do many things for you, and I happily obeyed. Today, you have told me to forgive. I am sad, Lord, because I cannot. I don't know how. It is not fair Lord. I didn't deserve these wrongs that were done against me and I shouldn't have to forgive. As perfect as your way is Lord, this one thing I cannot do, for I don't know how to forgive. My anger is so deep Lord, I fear I may not hear you, but I pray that you teach me to do this one thing I cannot do - Teach me To Forgive."

As he knelt there in the quiet shade of that old oak tree, he felt something fall onto his shoulder. He opened his eyes. Out of the corner of one eye, he saw something red on his shirt. He could not turn to see what it was because where the oak tree had been was a large square piece of wood in the ground. He raised his head and saw two feet held to the wood with a large spike through them. He raised his head more, and tears came to his eyes as he saw Jesus hanging on a cross. He saw spikes in His hands, a gash in His side, a torn and battered body, deep thorns sunk into His head. Finally he saw the suffering and pain on His precious face. As their eyes met, the man's tears turned to sobbing, and Jesus began to speak:

"Have you ever told a lie?" He asked.
The man answered - "Yes, Lord."
"Have you ever been given too much change and kept it?"
The man answered - " Yes, Lord."
And the man sobbed more and more.
"Have you ever taken something from work that wasn't yours?"
And the man answered - "Yes, Lord."
"Have you ever sworn, using my Father's name in vain?"
The man, crying now, answered - "Yes, Lord."

As Jesus asked many more times, "Have you ever?" The man's crying became uncontrollable, for he could only answer - "Yes, Lord." Then Jesus turned His head from one side to the other, and the man felt something fall on his other shoulder. He looked and saw that it was the blood of Jesus. When he looked back up, his eyes met those of Jesus, and there was a look of love the man had never seen or known before.
Jesus said, "I didn't deserve this either, but I forgive you."

It may be hard to see how you're going to get through something, but when you look back in life, you realize how true this statement is:

If God brings you to it, He will bring you through it.

Lord I love You and I need You, come into my heart, today. For without You I can do nothing.
When Jesus died on the cross, he was thinking of you!

Haha! When i first read Aloy's post, i was instantly confused. Upon reading it again a number of weeks later, i suddenly realized how true what aloysius post was! It basically means that the OC is pretty dead.. haha you think about this for a minute. you will realize its absolutely true! So how? what to do? Well, Aloy tells us to stand up! Live for God! The person making up the church isnt the guy next to you! It is you!! Be more enthusiastic! No offense, but right now we are more dead than a doorknob. haha! We are the OneCommunity! This is your church! So now, this is my challenge to you! Yes you! not that other person! Will you be the one to stand up and worship God? Not caring if the person next to you isnt jumping or worshipping God! Surely i tell you, i bet if you worship God with all your heart the person next to you will do the same!!

Isnt it time for us to reconsider ourselves as well as to redfine ourselves?

What does it really mean to be an OCian?

I dont know. I really have no idea considering i am quite a new member as compared to those jokers who has been in OC since it started and stuff. I mean. Popping up on one sat wasnt exactly the way i thought i would be entering CCMC

But what i do know. OC was a great place to be in. It was fun. It was happening.

But mark the use of the past tense.

I think we should continue to evaluate and to also evolve. I think it is time we stopped thinking that other churches are better or other churches are more fun. Instead, think, how would we be able to make OUR church more fun? A church is not formed by individuals. Pong and the oldies gang can poke, they can needle. But ultimately, you would not be able to force a cow to drink the water even if you were to stick his head in the fountain.

I think its nice to see our church being compared with other churches. Sure. I know we would fare worse if we were to compare which was more "happening" and "fun". But ultimately, what would make things fun and happening? It would be our love for God and ourselves. Your physcal appearace may be in the OC. But if your thoughts are going like.. "Weasly is more fun", then i would think that you would be better off worshipping there dont you think?

Be an OCian. Stand up. Be proactive. Make it somewere you look forward to worshipping God in every week instead of somewhere you can just exchange comments on how dead it is. (The comments seem to be getting more and more intellectual BTW.)

Define ourselves. Make it a church which will attract the thousands.

This is my call to arms.

i suppose that was a little something everyone needed. but did you realise, god was just like the man who had started giving out hugs?

then, there were people who rejected his offer. there were people who came expecting something ( a hug in return). those who had accepted all revealed a smile. i reckon a hug is actually the most subtle form of love. it doesnt have to be intimate ... just a friendly hug will be just fine.

i wonder if we all see ourselves playing a role in that movie.. are you the one who just walks off or the one who accepts the little hug. we always ask why are we the first one to make the move. we feel shy. we want that hug. but how many of us are actually brave enough to accept such grace and kindness from a stranger. we wonder if theres any catch to it.

did you realise? just like the man. god had already offered his son so that we may (if we believe) be able to feel his love. Only if we dare walk up to him. how many of us wants to walk up? but is afraid ?

part of James 4:8 goes like this
"Come near to God and He will come near to you."

some versions goes like this
"Drawn near to me and i shall draw near to you"

if you did notice.. the verse started with a ME taking the first step. all you need is one step nearer to him and he will walk ten thousand time nearer to you. contridicting is that its always natural for humans to question How soon will i experience him. How will i know? Is he really true?

this is something you have to experience for yourself. if only you dare. if only you expect something in return (just like the hug). i dare you to walk up to him. With Faith. With a desire to see him do something great to you and your lives. but only if you accept. dont test him.. it wont work. accept him. trust him. this response is up to you...

if you do... you could, just start praying. not pray actually. but Talk to him. like how you talk to your friends. cause most importantly is you wanting a relationship with him. he may know everything. but he wants you to want him. he wants you to tell him. he wants a Relationship with you.

The camp comittee has been set up and they are a bunch of great enthusiastic people which i am most proud to have in the camp com.

i came home, switched on the computer, itchy fingers went to touch cheryl's doc. on our YouthSundayHelpers List...

guess whose names i saw on the list? its so pretty. all those i thought would never , did. honestly, the sec1s were very interested in contributing to our OC. and this warm fuzzy wuzzy feeling came over me. its really fuzzy wuzzy-ish to know that you guys are really comfortable here.

its really satsifying to see how OC has grown. the band. the second issue of One Voice being published. our lunch outs. the pastors growing closer to us. joe our friendly funky laymin kiddo.

just two weeks ago, there was this "future of OC" meeting... and seeing how far we have came. seeing what anticipating events coming forwards. new ideas.

it just dawn on me, that what pong said about 5000 OC Lites will be round singapore spreading love seems just so real, just so true, just so near. (: and i believe. 5000 is reachable. cause its god's blessings and love that will touch the other 4, 900 people in singapore.

lastly, kudos to all those volunteering for Youth Sunday. It'd be a blast. like every year. like last year. like last week. (: in god's love.

My perspective

The soccer tournament of teen games is over. But i think that we have learnt much within ourselves.

I think that this is due to God's grace that our team has gotten together. I do not think that this team has been formed by just "chance" or "coincidence" cause i do not believe in either.

I think that OC's soccer team has, consciously or otherwise, bonded within themselves. I think that we have done well in that sense. We have found out each other's strengths and weaknesses and i think that we have somehow found a way to try to "fix" each other's flaws. I think that this is great as we are now more consicous to our personality flaws. I personally have also found out my own flaws and i can only thank this team for giving me the opportunity to try to change it.

You know, i wanted to have the team to "vote" for our best player of the tournament. But i changed my mine. Cause i think that every single one of the soccer player played above themselves. They played to their full potential. We do not have a team of individuals like when we first started out. We have bonded. And by God's grace, we have become a team. We have felt the pain of the losses and we have also enjoyed the euphoria of winning the matches.So i think that having the best player of the tournament is an insult to the rest of the team.

Although we have lost in the tournament, i think we can hold our heads high in the knowledge that this has certainly made us a better person.

And i thank all supporters who came and gave us their utmost support and the fun that we had. I finally understand the meaning of winning is not everything.

church camp's just tomorrow. wanna guess how many basics( bro and sis in christ) went for camp last year??

well, you'd be surprised, last year 4 June 2005 we had only 15 youths at church camp. guess how many is this years' total? you could most probably pick A5 for your answer. actually, im not really sure. its past 50 i've heard. and camp comm is most probably doing some last minute packeting and finding stuff like Bluetack and Ties.

im kind glad for church camp. cause it was at the same event last year that i got to know many brillent people whom i love very very much right now. im sure that those going this year would be filled with the spirit of god, love and fun.

but really, this aint about fun one bit. this is all about Love, the love god first gave so that we can now feel what love is, the respect and love you have for your family and friends. (: this is all about one person, God. Four days to some may seem much, or little... but four days with god , now thats different.

i mean, on Normal days, most of us probably spend less than 15minutes with god.
15 minutes is so short! thats my shower time (hehh... to those bunking with me, sorry, showers hogged.) four days experiencing the First Love ... (: yayness.

i pray for journey mercies. and a time for the holy spirit to come , and blow us away with the power and mercies and grace overflowing from god unto us. he love you so, he wants to give. whether you ask from him or not. ask and you shall be given (an answer , at least thats how i think i of it, you could ask and not be given whatever you ask for aka answer means No.) but what i know is he gives, More than what you want or asks for. for he knows the deepest desires of your hearts.

he knows you inside out. he knows what would bring you closer to him, and what will not.

okayy... so yeahh.. may his peace go with you. those working, dont think too much about work, just leave this four days in ONE YEAR solely to god. thats my pact. (: i hope its yours too. cause i know , if you do, you'd experience something so close to god you've never ever felt before.

Grace VS Law

Martha Undergrace was hurrying from her shift as a volunteer at the homeless shelter kitchen. Since the weather was cold, they had served many more hungry people that morning, and she was late in leaving.

As she drove to her Bible Study class at church, Martha exceeded the 55 MPH speed limit. Soon she noticed red flashing lights in the rearview mirror and she realized she was being pulled over by a traffic officer.

Officer Johnny Law explained "Mrs. Undergrace, you were driving 70 MPH in a 55 MPH zone and that is against the law. There is a severe penalty for this offense." Martha had a sinking feeling upon receiving this news.

Then she was amazed at Officer Law's declaration, "Mrs. Undergrace, even though you are guilty of this offense, I am granting you favor. For my own good pleasure, I will sacrifice and pay this penalty for you. I will also insure the offense does not appear on your driving record. Go and speed no more."

Martha was dumbfounded at Officer Law's charity, and she rejoiced and proclaimed her love for him and his selfless act. She told everyone she met about Johnny Law's grace, mercy and charity. She encouraged them to seek him out and ask him to cover their infractions too.

When Martha Undergrace drove away to her Bible Study Class... (You complete the sentence by choosing A or B...)

A. ... she was relieved that the law was done away with and drove 70 MPH whenever she pleased. Officer Law took no further action. He Wept.
Many years later when Martha was before the entrance committee screening her application for admission to the exclusive, high security, gated, elegant New Kingdom neighborhood, she was charged with non-submission, reckless behavior, causing a child to stumble, and working iniquity. When her kinsman redeemer and advocate appeared before the judge to arrange for her release, He noted her encounter with Officer Law and replied, "Depart from me you worker of iniquity, I never knew you". Her application was refused and she was remanded to live in the dreadful neighborhood called Outer Darkness where there was weeping and wailing and gnashing of teeth!

B. ...she joyously accepted the grace offer and in LOVING RESPONSE to Officer Law's sacrifice, Martha Undergrace thereafter, diligently and willfully obeyed the traffic rules. The speed limit remained 55 MPH - the law was not abolished. Her penalty for breaking the law was paid for by another.
Martha Undergrace could not abuse Officer Law's charity by assuming she was above the law and free to break it at will. She accepted His grace and vowed to show her love through obedience. Officer Law left to prepare Martha's home in the New Kingdom neighborhood.

This is our response to the grace vs. law issue. We have been freed from the penalty of our sin (death), but we are not free to abuse Our Heavenly Father, YHWH's sacrifice of His only begotten son, Yahshua, by living a lawless life. The law remains intact...our penalty has simply been paid for by the death and resurrection of our kinsman redeemer, Yahshua.

Well, aft reading cheryl blog. why not i start the ball rolling lol?

How has OC changed me.
Well, OC has changed me in the way that i have obviously drawn closer to God. Cause before i have come to this church, Youth worship in my other churches were pratically nonexistant. So coming to this church is great as it has allowed me to worship with people in my generation and therefore the whole community would be more "connected" with each another. And thus what the speakers or pastors say would be also more pratical and more in touch with us.

In turn, this has led me to draw closer to God as i have gotten the chance to experience bible study and stuff which again is first time i get to do thi with ppl around my age and study god's words.

OC has also been a blessing to me as i have gotten the chance to meet great ppl like u guys. Is great to noe u guys so well aft less then one year and i hope that our friendship may strengthen. you guys has been a pillar for me as i go through my toughest times and i am happy to share my high points with you guys (eg O lvls result day) haha.

The OC would no doubt grow from strength to strength and i am proud and glad to be part of this community as we continue on our path to follow God and seek him.

A young man had been to Wednesday night Bible Study.

The Pastor had shared about listening to God and obeying the Lord's voice.

The young man couldn't help but wonder, "Does God still speak to people?"

After service he went out with some friends for coffee and pie and they
discussed the message.
Several different ones talked about how God had led them in different
ways.

It was about ten o'clock when the young man started driving home. Sitting
in his car, he just began to pray, "God...If you still speak to
people speak to me. I will listen. I will do my best to obey."

As he drove down the main street of his town, he had the strangest thought
to stop and buy a gallon of milk.

He shook his head and said out loud, "God is that you?" He didn't get a
reply and started on toward home.

But again, the thought, buy a gallon of milk.

The young man thought about Samuel and how he didn't recognize the voice
of God, and how little Samuel ran to Eli.

"Okay, God, in case that is you, I will buy the milk." It didn't seem like
too hard a test of obedience. He could always use the milk. He stopped and
purchased the gallon of milk and started off toward home.

As he passed Seventh Street, he again felt the urge, "Turn Down that
street."

This is crazy he thought and drove on past the intersection.

Again, he felt that he should turn down Seventh Stree t.

At the next intersection, he turned back and headed down Seventh.

Half jokingly, he said out loud, "Okay, God, I will".

He drove several blocks, when suddenly, he felt like he should stop. He
pulled over to the curb and looked around. He was in semi commercial area
of town. It wasn't the best but it wasn't the worst of neighborhoods
either. The businesses were closed and most of the houses looked dark like
the people were already in bed.

Again, he sensed something, "Go and give the milk to the people in the
house across the street." The young man looked at the house. It was dark
and it looked like the people were either gone or they were already
asleep. He started to open the door and then sat back in the car seat.

"Lord, this is insane. Those people are asleep and if I wake them up, they
are going to be mad and I will look stupid." Again, he felt like he should
go and give the milk.

Finally, he opened the door, "Okay God, if this is you, I will go to the
door and I will give them the milk. If you want me to look like a crazy
person, okay. I want to be obedient. I guess that will count for something
but if they don't answer right away, I am out of here."

He walked across the street and rang the bell. He could hear some noise
inside. A man's voice yelled out, "Who is it? What do you want?" Then the
door opened before the young man could get away.

The man was standing there in his jeans and T-shirt. He looked like he

just got out of bed. He had a strange look on his face and he didn't seem
too happy to have some stranger standing on his doorstep. "What is it?"

The young man thrust out the gallon of milk, "Here, I brought this to
you." The man took the milk and rushed down a hallway.

Then from down the hall came a woman carrying the milk toward the kitchen.
The man was following her holding a baby. The baby was crying. The man had
tears streaming down his face.

The man began speaking and half crying, "We were just praying. We had some
big bills this month and we ran out of money. We didn't have any milk for
our baby. I was just praying and asking God to show me how to get some
milk."

His wife in the kitchen yelled out, "I ask him to send an Angel with some.
Are you an Angel?"

The young man reached into his wallet and pulled out all the money he had
on him and put in the man's hand. He turned and walked back toward his car
and the tears were streaming down his face.

He knew that God still answers prayers.

iloveyou guys. for being my BASICs. (:

i think remembering the feeling of God's first love and then later just completely not feel it cause we often leave God in the backseat (when we always protect ourselves by saying we're not, just that you know you're living a lie, a delusion, a denial) is the ultimate worse feeling on earth.

that was what i've been feeling over the past weeks.

today, i realised how strong the word "BASIC" is to me and to you.

God not only let us chose our walk in him, but he knows being humans its always hard to keep on the same track (that makes life boring). so Basics, he placed them up down left right beside you 360 spherical bungee turn there for you.

Be it the girl/guy sitting beside you at church or even that stranger you just keep seeing around church. they keep you in track with God. they are accountable for you.

because BASICs, are you're very foundation. without basics, you see a hurdle, its so easy for you to crumble and fall. Basics are there, to listen to you, to see you through these hurdles. being accountable for you.

God knows you sidetrack, but he'll never let you stray far. in the end, bringing you back to him. no doubt it may be 365 days long, but... what matters most, is the events (through pain, happiness and tears) bringing you back to him.

cause in him, there, the ultimate joy is.

The article that captured the hearts and minds of the OC was most certainly the review of the first ever OC camp. Those of you who did not go for the camp due to what ever reasons, the coverage of the One Camp by the One Voice people was certainly rich in information. With aid from the photos, you could see how much fun the OC camp was.

oh my grass.i've waited like twenty flipping minutes to get this outta my system and i've waited so flipping long i can't remember * about what i wanted to post!!HURR.btw all the *s are things i want to say but i shouldn't so you can fill them up with what you want to (;

ANYWAEZ.yehh.i was reading the book by chuck swindoll,so you wanna be like Christ?sorta like that book by diane duane so you wanna be a wizard.yehh.i guess i just read this part where it sorta reiterated that sermon we had at camp,bout the 3 Rs,where the first one was to remember your first love.or i guess what chuck was aiming for was remember what it was like,and go back to that.coz i guess right now,you'll find like church *ing boring.no joke.i mean,i facilitate the sece 2 class and i'm bored outta my mind coz none of you wanna speak up unless you'll get arrowed (;

but that's not the point.em,i guess what is is that to just remember and recollect what it was like that time when you decided you reallae wanted to become a Christian and live a life for God.if you tell me you can't remember that coz you were a baby i'll slap you.hahahh i mean like in your recent memory (: like...sayy mebb3 it was at loveactually\2005 hehh.or mebb3 festival of praise,or sonicfest or other stuff.can you remember that reallae nice,warm feeling of like fluff?yar.and just carry that feeling in your heart.i can't tell you everything coz i'm only on page 12.hahahh (: buttttt...what i can tell you is that remembering how you felt that veryvery first time,will bring you a step closer to Christ.that way,your heart will be warm,and that's what's important.if you like remember just the doctrine and memory verses,what goot are they if you don't inculcate them into your lives right?HURR.that was a no-brainer for you,i'm sure (;

it's sorta poetic,to think of things this way.Christ wouldn't have wanted our discussion groups to be stone dead and people only talk when they get poked and prodded at by facilitators[ahemahem] (: is it coz it's awfully boring or that you've heard the same thing time and again?sometimes it's reallae hard to imagine whatever you discuss in class being in effect on your life coz it's just so irrelevant.grass knows i don't give a * bout it anymore.but that doesn't mean you stop trying to.hahh i'm so *ing contradictory (; and the point of this post was......?hahahh oh wellsh i don't reallae give a rat's *.think of it what you will (; but there aren't much things better than that first experience with Christ.hahahh :D

Patrick's hokkien cheer has won the day and capture the attention and hearts of those who attended channel one that day. Now we all noe what Pewpew is thinking off half the time. Haha.

If you missed the first ever session of channel one, there will be another episode next sat at the OC room from 3 to 5. And aft channel one, those interested in the teengames can stay back as there MAY be a training session for the Gal and Guy capt ball and Soccer.

Channel one is fun and if you are still hesitant bout going for it, HESITATE NO MORE! Jus come and try it out. What is life without the unknowns.

okay there's an arguement going on, so i feel the need to involve myself. :P

but anyway, seriously i just dont get why some people are pissed that there isn't really fellowship, cause i wouldnt really call it fellowship you know?

like when the so called 'clique-ish' worship team goes out after church is that called church fellowship? uh no? why? because it's just a group of people in church that are closer to each other than the rest, that decide that they want to go grab a bite and hang out.

obviously you can't be everyones good friend right? but there are people that do click with each other and go out with each other and have fun while at it. you can't say it's unfair and we're being clique-ish and what not cause your not involved.

i mean in normal society im sure you stick to a clique or group of friends right? so what's the difference here? nothing. if you want to be included then maybe you should actually take a bold step forward and TRY to mingle and make friends.

but anyway to close, dont complain cause your not part of something. but be pro-active and come forward and make an effort to be involved, no one is responsible for making you feel part of the church, we can only encourage you so much, the rest is up to you and your willingness to make an effort to make friends and stuff.

HEYY!!i was just bloghopping,and thinking bout the fellowship thing...em.well.yeh.aloy's post sounded...kinda negative.mebb3 it's just me being a lit student and getting uber sensitive and whatnot,but anywaez it's kinda odd for me to feel bout this since..well i got my fellowship.after church.i've got my own[not MINE]clique,and we hang out and stuff and have a reallae great time just having fun.now why can't you guys do that too?

hahhh ok i'm kidding.

but...i guess you'll all realise out church isn't exactly very warm and inviting.coz all the cliques are so closed to other people.i mean,citing camp as an example.yes,yes,groan.BUT...i mean i didn't know half the people i know now.and that's reallae damn funkkae.like i've got to know the sec 2/3 girls and the sec 2/3 guys so much better and actually just know them that sorta rubbish.don't you'll bother to like look your groupies up and just chat?blech.so unsociable.

if you don't wanna like...dunno feel paiseh or whatever,i'm sure all you'll just hang with your classmates right?that's a start,isn't it?go out for lunch together,and just bond.coz likelihood is,you'll are gonna flipping grow up in church together,and that's like ten years of your life devoted to a relationship where the only thing you know bout the person is that her name's...abiwabby or whatever.so get to know one another.most of you'll are like probably in the same school too.i know sundae's like family time,and once you get the ball rolling on hanging with your doods,then it's gonna be hard to switch back and forth.but please make time.coz there's so much there too...that you're missing out.

Channel one is an outreach initiative by oc's worship ministry. Now that our worship ministry has grown and branched out into more sub ministries, being the music ministry, visual & audio ministry, and the prayer ministry; We have come together as one ministry, the worship ministry, to be a channel of blessing for god. We'll launch our first broadcast on the 25th Feb 06, 3pm. it's going be a time of worship, hearing and games. Our first speaker is darren. So do join us in broadcasting his love (: See you guys there.
